Spin's open to the public, but privileged membership rates are going up on Sept 8th, so get yours before then at SpiNYC.com Wear: PRO-Keds Royal Lo Premium Exclusively at Scoop NYC stores; 475 Broadway, btw Broome and Grand; SoHo; 212.925.3539 To celebrate their 60th anniversary, PK's dropped six solid-colored versions of the landmark Royal Lo Premium, with all-leather uppers offset by a white rubber toe with thin red/blue stripes at the edge; the design's a re-imagining of the same model worn by Kareem, Pistol Pete, and even Bob Love, who was immaculately conceived by a Darryl Dawkins dunk.
Art: She Hit Pause's "Girls and Dream" From a Brooklyn photographer who creates faded, sepia-hued prints from original Polaroid transfers, "Girls" features almost 50 retro-femme images, including a pantless girl with her feet in the air playing with a toy airplane, a set of legs wearing rainbow tube socks next to an oversized ice-cream cone, and a naked woman lying on the grass covered only by two records, presumably containing the music of 80s-90s Aussie pop duo The Vaginyls. Art up your crib with some tasteful almost-nudity from SheHitPauseStudios.com
Travel: Traxo This completely free, just-out-of-private-beta outfit allows business traveling buddies to easily connect/share tips by automatically aggregating and itiner-izing info from their various booking sites (airlines/hotels/car rental); more features include messaging, and alerts when plans will overlap, potentially bringing your pathetically-nibbling-room-service-while-staring-out-the-window out of private beta as well. Travel less lonely with Traxo
